Meeting Practices

Meeting Practices

CTCG is run by and for members of the greater trans* community. Different from a therapy group, we create a community space specifically centered on building trans* community through supporting one another. Generally, CTCG is not a space for health care providers, unless they are themselves members of the greater trans* community (trans* identified, partners, family, or friends). If you are a provider looking for resources on serving trans* communities, please contact us.

All HT*WG and CTCG meetings and events practice within HT*WG’s Safer Space and Accessibility Policy. In order to promote mutual respect and encourage sharing during meetings, it is asked that people arrive on time. In the event that attendee(s) will be arriving more than 20 minutes late it is asked that people arrive on the hour (8pm before social time) to minimize meeting disruption. Also, CTCG asks that people put phones on vibrate/silent and refrain from texting or using computers/laptops meetings to promote an active listening space and mutually supportive environment. For more information on CTCG, view our Bylaws. For questions, or concerns about your being able to attend meetings, please contact us.
